Operational Co-ordinator - Urology and Vascular

Main duties of the job
1. You will be the first point of contact for escalation within the team as well as the management of the patient tracking list and clinical rotas.
2. You will manage the administrative team within Urology and Vascular, supporting them to move patients through their treatment pathways within appropriate timescales.
3. You will encourage high performance from staff, with the aim to maintain a high quality comprehensive administrative service.
4. You will work alongside the service manager and an engaged team of dedicated healthcare professionals in a fast-paced and challenging environment to ensure a high-quality service is provided to our patients.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Leadership courses/qualification or commitment to work towards.
* Prince 2 or project management course.
Experience
* Previous experience of managing staff.
* Proven ability to achieve objectives.
* Working to short timescales and meeting deadlines.
* Working in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Dealing with patients and handling difficult situations.
* Previous experience of managing staff within the NHS.
* Previous medical secretary experience.
Knowledge
* Wider knowledge of DOH and NHS.
* Knowledge of performance management.
* Knowledge and expertise in all Microsoft applications.
* Lean thinking/principles.
* NHS IT systems.
