DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a H&S and Compliance Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution Health & Safety requirements.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health, safety and compliance practices, you will:
* To coordinate and provide support in the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear H&S guidelines.
* Support the team to follow Safety Standards and to help reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks.
* Undertake all levels of incident investigations within the work place and promptly escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures.
* Contribute to customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and assist the implementation of the agreed action plan.
* Supports the delivery of regular colleague briefings, including training requirements/needs via the use of Performance Dialogue boards and regular briefings.
* Coordinate day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (eg. safety, operational, employee related etc)
* Adherence to the ISO framework to ensure compliance and ensure that systems are update to reflect.
* Maintain presence on the floor to coordinate core activities and resolve or escalate issues
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

* Previous H&S and Compliance experience is essential.
* Health & Safety experience within an Operational/Warehouse environment, or similar, would be advantageous.
* IOSH certificate is essential.
* IS0 9001 Auditing and Implementation experience
* Knowledge of Business Continuity and Incident Management requirements
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.
* Continuous Improvement / Gemba experience.
* Communication skills - Verbal and written
* IT literate - Microsoft packages, SSOW.
