Job Specification: Lighting Technician Reports to: Operations Manager Job Overview A well-established production services company is seeking an enthusiastic Lighting Technician to join its team. The company provides high-quality lighting, audio, video, and scenic solutions for live events across the UK and Europe. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering bespoke production solutions for a variety of high-profile events. No two days are the same, and the diverse client base ensures a wide range of exciting projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in performance lighting design, implementation, and operation, particularly in live music and events. Proficiency in at least one major lighting console platform (GrandMA, Avolites, or Chamsys) is required. A solid understanding of rigging, power and data distribution, IT, and general production techniques is also essential. Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills will be highly beneficial, and experience in audio or video production is a plus. The role is client-facing, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their expertise continually. Due to the nature of the live events industry, working hours will be flexible, with regular evening and weekend work. A full driving license is highly desirable.
