About the Role: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. Your primary focus will be to support students in overcoming barriers to learning, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Working closely with pastoral staff, teachers, and external agencies, you’ll help create a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges. Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs. Build positive relationships with students, encouraging self-regulation and resilience. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support engagement in learning. Contribute to the development and review of individual behaviour plans. Promote a culture of respect and positive communication across the school community. What We’re Looking For: Enthusiasm, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with secondary-age students, particularly those with behavioural needs, is desirable but not essential. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to dynamic situations.
