Job Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Desborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £44,000-£45,000 + Overtime Available @ 1.5x (x2 Sundays)
Hours: Monday-Friday Double Days (weekly rotations) 06.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00

The client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, nationwide packaging organisation that, due to expansion & rapid growth are welcoming another maintenance engineer at their site based in Northamptonshire. This opportunity offers a clear structure for progression & development through salary increases after probation & opportunity for funded qualifications.
The package:
1. Base Salary of between £42,000-£45,000 dependent on experience

The Duties:
1. Attend breakdowns on site machinery & conveyor system
2. Carry out PPM’s and reactive breakdowns and maintenance in a timely manner to minimise machinery downtime.
3. Liaise with Engineering management & fellow engineers to resolve breakdowns efficiently, professionally & in a timely manner
4. Follow health & safety procedures
5. Attend training & courses for further development, in line with training
6. Working with other engineers on the team to maintain and repair plant machinery.
The Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer in a packaging, manufacturing, FMCG or similar industry (essential)
2. A good balance of Mechanical/Electrical Fault Finding, Repairs with an electrical bias preferred (essential)
3. Apprentice trained with a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification within electrical/mechanical engineering (essential)
4. Previous experience repairing & fault finding on components such as Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyor Systems, Converters, Inverters or PLCs (essential)
5. Understanding of Automated processes (advantageous)
6. An openness to learn, share practices & attend training courses when needed (advantageous)
7. Full UK Drivers License
