About the Role
As Sr. Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business to meet customer specific booking targets. You will engage with the customer in an early stage to create business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials to award.
What You Will Do
1. Execute the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
2. Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagement activities including “war gaming” and 10 standards
3. Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer
4. Create game-changing unique selling proposition and value statements
5. Understand customer expectations cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them
6. Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business
What You Need
7. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
8. 6+ years of related sales experience
9. Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases and quotes / contracts
10. Strong hunting and negotiation skills
11. Experience executing a strategy
12. Understanding of Automotive OEM’s organization and processes
13. Experience within or working with applicable customers
What is Nice to Have
14. Basic technical understanding of Automotive HW and SW systems
What Makes You Eligible
15. Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel
16. Be willing to work in an office.
