A fantastic school based in Wallasey are currently looking for a level 2 teaching assistant to work within their year 6 class to aid in preparation for their upcoming SATS. This is a long-term role, starting September 2024 until summer 2025. It involves working four mornings and one full day a week.
This role will include running intervention work with the children, so an understanding of the curriculum is essential. The right person for this role will:
1. Be confident in their teaching methods and have the ability to lead group sessions with students
2. Work well with other members of staff and work closely with the class teacher
3. Know how to adapt teaching methods when needed to best enable students learning

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
18. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
19. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
20. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
21. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
22. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
