Job Title: Facade Designer Region: North West Job Type: Full Time Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Facade Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, detailing, and engineering facade systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and structurally sound facade solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop facade systems, including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and other exterior envelope components. Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino. Conduct feasibility studies, material research, and performance analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and sustainability standards. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and manufacturers to integrate facade designs seamlessly into the overall building structure. Perform thermal, acoustic, and weatherproofing assessments to optimize energy efficiency and durability. Assist in selecting appropriate facade materials, considering aesthetics, cost, and environmental impact. Review and approve facade shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation methods. Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation process. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and advancements in facade technology. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 3 years of experience in facade design, engineering, or related fields. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and other facade design software. Knowledge of facade systems, glazing, cladding, structural mechanics, and material properties. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and facade performance requirements. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
