A University of Oxford department are seeking an IT and Audio-Visual (AV) Support Specialist to manage the technology infrastructure of a busy teaching and events centre. The role involves maintaining IT systems and AV equipment, providing user support, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. Duties: Manage the teaching network, servers, and hardware, ensuring compatibility, security, and functionality. Provide hands-on AV support for teaching sessions, events, and hybrid setups, including lecture recording and uploads. Deliver user training and technical documentation to support staff, students, and academic stakeholders. Collaborate with IT teams and users on projects, upgrades, and shared systems maintenance. Maintain equipment functionality, troubleshoot issues, and recommend new technologies. Selection Criteria: Degree or equivalent experience in IT, AV, or a related field. Proven experience supporting IT and AV systems, ideally in an academic environment. Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of IT networking and operating systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Confident in Microsoft Office and providing user support for these tools.
