About the Company
We are representing a respected and well-established M&E contractor based in Cannock, delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, and industrial sectors. With a healthy pipeline of secured work, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced and driven Electrical Project Manager to take the lead on a variety of exciting electrical installations, refurbishments, and design & build contracts.
Role Overview
As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical projects from concept through to completion. You will manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of electrical projects, from initial planning through to handover
Manage multiple live projects across the Midlands, primarily in commercial, educational, and industrial environments
Develop project programmes, schedules, and resource plans
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee electrical installations to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are met
Attend and chair site meetings, progress reviews, and client handovers
Manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring H&S compliance at all times
Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost control in collaboration with commercial team
Review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Ensure completion of RAMS, risk assessments, and commissioning documentation
Provide regular reporting to senior management on progress, performance, and issues
Qualifications & Certifications (Essential)
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
City & Guilds 2391 / 2394/2395 – Inspection & Testing
City & Guilds 2382-18 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
SMSTS or SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)
ECS Gold Card – Site Manager or Electrician
Full UK Driving Licence
IT proficiency with Microsoft Office and project software
Experience in delivering projects valued from £50k to £1m+
Desirable Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Electrical Project Manager role
Strong understanding of building services, electrical design, and project management principles
Proven background delivering works in schools, colleges, warehouses, commercial buildings, and industrial sites
Experience in client liaison, managing variations and project reporting
Knowledge of CDM Regulations, BS7671, and current H&S legislation
Able to manage and motivate teams and work collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders
