Job Description
Senior Planner / Planning Manager level candidate with experience of working on major civil engineering projects within the rail, highways or airports markets for an initial 12 month contract in Manchester. \n\nThe role is based on an infrastructure upgrade programme, utilising the NEC form of contract.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nWork with key stakeholders to capture project scope in line with customer requirements, including the development of PBS, WBS, SOW, and BOE.\nEnsure that all schedules are generated, maintained, and updated in line with the planning cycle.\nIdentify schedule impact issues and proactively pursue solutions within the baseline boundaries of quality, cost, and time.\nCoordinate Live Progress Updates sessions to gather accurate project progress status information.\nProduce monthly management information and reports, including milestone slippage, critical path analysis, and resource demand & availability.\nUndertake schedule variance analysis and identify/report deviations, triggering exception reports as necessary.\nUse Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques where required.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nUnderstanding of project management and the ability to maintain projects within a complex environment using an Integrated Management System (IMS).\nStrong knowledge and skills in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6.\nAwareness of or willingness to learn operating within an Earned Value Management (EVM) environment.\nAbility to deliver accurate work within monthly reporting cycles, using initiative to prioritise project deadlines.\nWhile not essential, contractor experience is preferred.\nCuriosity and desire to reach out to key stakeholders and build relationships.\nIf you are an experienced Senior Planner or Planning Manager looking for a contract role where you can contribute to significant infrastructure projects, apply now to join our client's dynamic team
