Our client, a highly successful small animal practice located in the heart of Carlisle, is seeking a sixth vet to join their supportive and experienced team. This well-established practice is celebrating 30 years of dedicated service and remains committed to providing the highest standard of care for its loyal clients and their pets.
The veterinary team boasts a wealth of experience, with four vets having over 20 years of practice. The team is passionate about sharing knowledge, supporting individual growth, and encouraging personal interests. Whether you're looking to be an outstanding GP vet or wish to pursue a particular area of expertise, the practice is ready to help you achieve your goals.

At the practice, you'll work with loyal clients, many of whom have been with the team for generations. The practice takes pride in its achievements, such as being Cumbria's first ISFM Gold cat-friendly clinic and a Gold Compassionate Understood practice. They also actively promote sustainable practices and are working toward the Bronze Investor in the Environment award.
The state-of-the-art facilities include Digital X-Ray, Dental Units, Ultrasound, Video-Endoscopy, and an In-House Clinical Biochemistry, providing everything you need to deliver top-tier veterinary care.
The role offers flexibility, with full-time vets working a four-day week and a 1:4 Saturday rota. The practice is happy to accommodate part-time hours or other commitments. Consulting and operating shifts are shared, with 15-minute standard appointments and regular breaks throughout the day. Out-of-hours services are generally quiet, shared on a 1:4 rota, and supported by an on-call RVN. Call-outs are rare and come with an additional fee when required.
