We are seeking a highly motivated research technician to join the dynamic research group led by Dr. Roberto Feuda. Our group focuses on exploring the evolution of neurons and their gene regulatory networks, leveraging cutting-edge molecular biology and advanced imaging techniques. The successful candidate will play a key role in the lab, contributing to ongoing research projects. The position involves performing specialized laboratory experiments, including molecular techniques with Mosquitos as a model organism. Key tasks include cell dissociation, in situ hybridization, RNA extraction, and related molecular analyses. About you The ideal candidate will possess: Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques, including Hybridization Chain Reaction (HCR). Experience in advanced microscopy, such as confocal or fluorescence imaging. Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently while adhering to project deadlines. Additionally, you should be comfortable contributing to the day-to-day running of the lab when needed, including maintaining equipment and supplies. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skill set under Dr. Feuda’s mentorship while working on fascinating research at the intersection of molecular and evolutionary biology.
