Summary
This role will be within our Mechanical Technician team. The mechanical technicians are responsible for maintaining plant and equipment to the correct standards (safety, quality, environmental, reliability) and within timescales for continuously operating plant to maximise plant utilisation and minimise down time.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Able to scope, identify and purchase materials needed to carry out required work and ensures all work is controlled and documented in SAP
* Helps to identify root cause of equipment failure using a 5Y process and proposes solutions
* Ensure housekeeping standards in the workshop

Your training plan
The apprenticeship follows a 3 year programme, with the first year spent off the job at CATCH in Stallingborough. This would be Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
The remainder of the apprenticeship is then completed onsite with the employer.
Apprentices will achieve a Level 3 technical certificate and a Level 3 NVQ qualification as part of their apprenticeship.
