Themis Recruit are seeking ahighly experienced and dynamic Head of Commercial PropertyDepartment to lead and expand a thriving commercial propertydepartment. The firm is a Top Tier firm recognised in the Legal500. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years ofpostqualification experience (PQE) in commercial property law witha proven track record of managing complex transactions and leadinga successful team. This is a senior leadership role that requiresstrategic vision exceptional client management skills and theability to drive business developmentinitiatives.
KeyResponsibilities:
1. Leadershipand Management:
o Providestrategic leadership to the Commercial Property Department settingand achieving departmentalgoals.
o Supervise mentor and developa team of solicitors paralegals and supportstaff.
o Foster a collaborative andhighperformance culture within thedepartment.
2. ClientRelationshipManagement:
o Build andmaintain strong relationships with key clients providinghighquality legal advice andsupport.
o Act as the primary point ofcontact for major clients ensuring client satisfaction andretention.
o Handle complex andhighvalue commercial property transactions including acquisitionsdisposals leases anddevelopments.
3. BusinessDevelopment:
o Develop andimplement strategies to grow the commercial propertypractice.
o Identify and pursue newbusiness opportunities including crossselling other services of thefirm.
o Represent the firm atnetworking events conferences and industry functions to enhance thefirm s profile and generate new businessleads.
4. LegalExpertise and PracticeManagement:
o Provide expertlegal advice on all aspects of commercial property law includingplanning environmental issues landlord and tenant matters andproperty finance.
o Ensure all work iscarried out to the highest standards of accuracy andprofessionalism.
o Stay abreast ofchanges in legislation and practice ensuring compliance andadvising clientsaccordingly.
5. FinancialManagement:
o Manage thedepartment s budget including forecasting monitoring and reportingon financial performance.
o Driveprofitability by improving operational efficiencies and ensuringoptimal fee generation.
o Overseebilling processes and manage credit control within thedepartment.
6. Complianceand Risk Management:
o Ensurethe department complies with all regulatory and legalrequirements.
o Implement and maintainrobust risk managementpractices.
o Handle any complaints orissues promptly and effectively maintaining the firm sreputation.
Requirements
* Education:Qualified Solicitor with a current practisingcertificate.
