Learning and Development Trainer Site Based - Monday to Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) ROLE: This role is responsible for ensuring that training for all team members on site. As a trainer in the food industry, this role requires the trainer to be food quality & safety focused as well as having a strong sense for Health & Safety. This includes working with training systems and processes. Working closely with department managers is key to the role, to ensure that all mandatory and developmental training is delivered to their team members and the success of the training programs delivered is evaluated constantly to maintain consistency and relevance. This role will also support the wider Learning and Development team in identifying the current and future skill requirements of the organisation. This will help to create flexible learning interventions (through digital and other means) to meet the diverse needs of our business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: To develop, review, assist and evaluate a fully complaint and comprehensive onboarding programme for all new employees. To organise, coordinate and deliver industry specific training to all team members to remain compliant. Keep required supporting training documentation up to date and complaint on training software systems. To ensure all mandatory training is up to date and refresher training is undertaken within the required deadlines. Report training progression. Conducting competency assessments. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communication skills Good computer literacy skills. Familiarity with Office 365. Clear and concise in both writing and verbal communication.
