Pay: £395-£430 per week take home (after tax and NI)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in a young child's life?
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in EYFS/KS1 who has autism, speech and language needs, and is non-verbal. This full-time role is based in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the DY9 area of Dudley (Stourbridge).
About the Role:
This role involves working closely with a child on a 1:1 basis, supporting their learning and development within a mainstream classroom setting. You will play a crucial role in helping the child access the curriculum and achieve their potential by providing tailored support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing 1:1 support for a child with autism and communication needs
2. Supporting language development and non-verbal communication techniques (e.g., PECs, visual timetables)
3. Assisting with social, emotional, and behavioural development
4. Adapting learning materials and activities to meet the child's needs
5. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised strategies
6. Recording progress and contributing to reviews and planning meetings
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience working with EYFS and/or KS1 pupils
2. Previous SEN experience, particularly autism and speech/language needs
3. Calm, patient, and empathetic nature
4. Confidence using visual aids and alternative communication strategies
5. Ideally, a minimum of 1 year's experience in a school setting
6. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) is desirable.
