Job Overview
Manage activities, operations, and performance to ensure daily objectives of the department are met in a quality manner. Plan for department growth, drive new department initiatives, new product development, and identify cost savings opportunities.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Set goals and objectives for team members for week-to-week operational activities of the team.
2. Contribute to departmental strategy and interpret to determine objectives to meet strategic goals.
3. Monitor and analyze operation metrics to identify areas for improvement.
4. Determine resourcing needs to ensure effective delivery.
5. Ensure operations meet quality guidelines.
6. Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and development of staff.
7. Foster a unified environment leading to increased employee engagement.
8. Maintain forecasting tools and use them to monitor expected future staffing requirements.
9. Ensure adherence to appropriate quality control systems and procedures. Maintain SOPs to ensure all procedures are documented and required amendments to procedures are highlighted and progressed immediately.
10. Stay abreast of new technical developments.
11. Maintain a high level of awareness of safety procedures/good housekeeping.
12. Engage in a high degree of interaction with internal departments and discussions related to new service offerings and customer needs.
13. Responsible for effective performance and continuous development of the team.
14. Act as a liaison with global counterparts to drive consistency of process.
15. Host external audits and sponsor visits/tours as requested.
16. Manage staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work.
17. Perform work in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Experience in operational management (3-4 years preferred).
2. Experience in people management (3-4 years preferred).
3. Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.
4. Strong understanding of operations.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills.
6. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to effectively delegate work.
8. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects, and direct team members.
9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
