Procurement Officer Due to continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join a successful manufacturer based in Witham. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 plus excellent benefits. Unfortunately, part-time, hybrid, or remote working options are not available. Working hours are Monday to Friday: • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00 • Friday: 08:30 – 16:30 (With a one-hour lunch break each day) Ongoing training will be provided on in house procedures and systems. Procurement Officer – Responsibilities: Reporting to the Managing Director, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for: • Using internal systems to accurately order products based on sales forecasts • Monitoring stock availability and wastage, proactively reducing shortfalls • Ensuring 100% stock availability, including seasonal and promotional items • Investigating supply issues and working with suppliers to prevent future disruptions • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams • Managing purchase orders and ensuring efficient order quantities • Reviewing invoice queries and assisting with supplier credit claims • Collaborating with various departments to align supply chain processes • Handling procurement for production, sales, and service materials • Managing safety stock, supplier contracts, and compliance monitoring • Supporting production scheduling based on customer demand and stock levels What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this Procurement Officer role, you will need: • At least 3 years of procurement, supply chain, or production planning experience in a high-volume environment • Strong understanding of customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, and finance • Experience in capacity forecasting, supply chain management, and stock control • Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn new software • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure • A proactive approach to learning and professional development If you are an experienced Procurement Officer looking to take the next step in your career with a thriving company, we would love to hear from you Apply today
