Salary: £27,551.00 plus Veolia benefits Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week 5 days per week, rotating shifts (06:00 -14:30 / 14:00 - 22:30 / 22:00 - 06:30) Overtime when needed Location: Dagenham Plastics, RM9 6LF This site is a milk bottle recycling facility that uses state-of-the-art technology to wash and decontaminate used milk bottles into resin that can be reused into milk bottle manufacturing, closing the loop on this high value waste stream. This site operates 24 hours per day, 5 days a week. Ensure that the plant is safe and in working order at all times including: Completing all paperwork required for the KPI monitoring Checking the sorting equipment and material handling systems to make sure they are operating correctly and efficiently Checking metal detectors to ensure they are working Checking the Camfil filter and clean as necessary Operate our plastics recycling machine and system components (Eremas) Cleaning parts of the machines Register material batches (bags, silos, etc.) on the electronic system provided. Liaise with the other departments to plan machine run times, silo usage, silo discharges, etc. Take part in product or process trials and support the quality/ ops team on this as required. What are we looking for? A strong manufacturing background is essential Desirable: Experience within a similar industry - Diary, Plastics, Waste Forklift Truck licence Understanding of extrusion, blow moulding, injection moulding and sorting technologies Knowledge of 5s methodology What's next?
