I am working with an established client looking for Materials Controllers to join them on a permanent basis.
Role: Materials Controller
Location: West London
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
Salary: From 25,627.17 per annum
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the marshalling and installation of components in the final assembly of aircraft landing gear systems, as well as the preparation and handling of bush packs.
This includes ensuring that all parts are correctly identified, organized, and assembled in compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Identification and Organisation: Accurately identify and categorize each part required for assembly. Ensure all components are in optimal condition and ready for assembly.
2. Inventory Management: Liaise with Material planning and procurement to manage shortages, minimizing assembly delays.
3. Coordination: Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of parts.
4. Facilitate the timely issue of picks/material to production schedule - marshall parts on a trolley and install into the product line, to make them ready for build area.
5. Installation of parts to Production schedule (Electronic SAP).
6. Attend Production meetings as required.
7. Assist with Movement of parts between work centres.
Experience & Skill-set required
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is desirable.
2. Proficiency in Technical Software (SAP) is desirable.
3. Keen eye for aircraft parts and any issues.
4. Good communication to report issues.
5. Methodical and take care in what you do.

4. Good team player and effective communication.
5. Flexibility.
Education and Qualifications
1. GCSE A-C Grades in Maths and English.
2. Able to use IT software including Excel and Word packages.
Additional Requirements
1. Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
2. Mandatory Training will be required.
3. Potential travel required.
