We are seeking an Accounts and Credit Control Assistant for a 12-month maternity contract with potential to go permanent in the future. This role will suit a candidate with a minimum of 2 years accounts or finance and credit control experience looking for the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment. What’s in it for you Salary Up to £30k Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5 25 days holiday which rise with length of service, Potential to go permanent, Private healthcare after probation, Yearly pay reviews, Busy challenging role, Friendly team, Supportive environment, Fast growing company Key responsibilities Be fully responsible for the Accounts payable function, entering invoices and reconciling supplier statements Reconcile aged creditors report at the end of each month Month end tasks such as the bank reconciliation Submitting turnover figures to Key Customer Groups monthly Calculate and issue customer rebates Answering telephone calls directed to the Accounts department Setting up new customer Accounts in our bespoke computer system, including appropriate credit checking Chasing payments via telephone, email and written communications Support the credit control function by sending chasing letters Process credit card payments from smaller customers Responding to queries regarding customer accounts e.g. sending copy invoices, processing Credit Application Forms Handling invoice-related queries by looking into discrepancies and raising credit notes What the employer is looking for 2 years plus in a similar Accounts/ Finance role Have a confident and enthusiastic telephone manner Enjoy speaking to customers on the telephone and be willing to chase payments Be highly organised and efficient Have a high level of numeracy Have experience of effectively utilising ICT Have a high level of literacy and possess excellent communication skills Work well in a fast-paced environment Have the ability to work well within a team and independently Red Door Recruitment is committed to encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
