Construction Compliance - Health & Safety Officer Cavendish Search and Selection has been engaged to recruit two Health & Safety Officers for the construction sector. These roles will initially involve 12-hour day and night shifts on weekends, with the potential to transition into full-time positions. Role Overview As an HSEQ Officer, you will work closely with the Site Manager and Head of HSEQ to ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures. Requirements To be considered, candidates must have: ✅ Proven experience in HSEQ roles within the construction sector (preferably with main contractors) ✅ Relevant Health & Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) ✅ Access to own vehicle and ability to commute to Cheshunt ✅ Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations Key Responsibilities Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with construction regulations and company policies. Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports within required timeframes. Develop and implement compliance management strategies in collaboration with key departments. Stay updated on legislation and industry standards, particularly NEBOSH guidelines. Deliver training and support to staff, promoting a strong compliance culture. Basic Qualifications NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification Experienced in construction safety management Strong ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams Hands-on experience across all stages of the construction lifecycle Proficient in Safety Management Systems and incident reporting Competency in Microsoft Office and other relevant tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Desirable Skills (Not essential) Experience in behavioral safety approaches Ability to manage cross-functional projects with minimal supervision Familiarity with BREEAM standards If you meet the above criteria and are interested in this opportunity, please apply today with your most up-to-date CV
