Join our team and be part of our success story at Kings Lynn Specsavers. Are you an ambitious optometrist looking to keep your career moving as part of our well-established team? You’ve come to the right place.
Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, if you’re passionate and committed to eyecare and ready to bring your best every day, you could be perfect for this role. With clinical and professional development as well as innovative equipment at your disposal, among a team of other experienced Opticians and Technicians, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
Do you want to be part of something?
Join our team at Kings Lynn Specsavers as our resident Optometrist, and you’ll soon discover a work-life balance like no other. Our Store is easily accessible through car or public transport, with a train station only a 5-minute walk, and you can get to London in under 2 hours. Kings Lynn is a town brimming full of history, shopping, and entertainment, from its 12th century ports to its merchants’ houses stretching down cobbled lanes.
Our amazing store has 4 testing rooms, with all the most up-to-date equipment. We also have a sister store, Kings Lynn Hardwick based within a Sainsbury's only 2 miles from our main store, where we have free parking! We can offer multi-site working between our stores as well if you are looking for something a bit different.
We love to get our Optometrists involved with our pre-reg students; we engage our optometrists by asking them to go to our local university to speak with future optometrists. Here at Kings Lynn, we can offer a strong clinical progression and development plan to suit you.
The Role in a Nutshell:
Basic salary up to £65k depending on experience.
Private health cover
Pension contribution
Support with CET
Exceptional clinical and professional development opportunities
Our Optometrists are the face of our professional practice and usually an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, pre-reg supervision, and Specsavers Partnership Pathway available, we can guide you on your way to becoming a great leader. This – along with your clinical expertise – will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with drive, passion, and the ability to help this growing practice continue to build on its customer-focused culture. To be part of our team, you’ll need to provide that unique blend of customer care and professional excellence – which will make a big impact on the store’s overall success. You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with a passion for the community. Teamwork also forms a big part of our culture, so the ability to work well with other people is essential. To summarise, we want someone who believes what we believe: in putting the patient first.
Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is to have an inclusive culture where everyone feels welcome, valued, and proud to belong.
