The Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH) at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation Trust (UHBW) is looking to grow its talented team to drive an ambitious future vision of care across Bristol and Weston.
Applications are warmly invited for a fellowship attached to the Oculoplastics service.
Main duties of the job
This post is a full-time position for a period of 12 months, ideally commencing from 6th August, 2025. Candidates will be provided with subspeciality training in oculo-plastics, lacrimal, and orbital surgery.
The post will be based at the BEH, with two days a month spent at South Bristol Community Hospital.
Applicants should be at the end of their Specialist Registrar grade or equivalent training, and UK candidates should ideally already have CTT.
The successful candidate will be required to be registered with the General Medical Council with a License to Practice.

Person specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Good knowledge of general ophthalmology, with basic specialist registrar training for ophthalmology and oculoplastics.
* Previous TSC or fellowship experience in oculo-plastics.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to work in a team.
* Ability and willingness to participate in teaching and training of junior doctors, nurses, medical students, optometrists, and other allied health professionals.
Qualifications and Training
* Applicants should already have CCST (or equivalent) or be entering into their final year of Specialist training. Overseas applicants would normally be at the end of their local training scheme.
* Full registration with the United Kingdom General Medical Council.

* Be able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard.
