We are offering you intellectually rewarding responsibilities and valuable career experience, as part of the Medicines Advice team. Youll provide a very clinically-focused service, and advise doctors, nurses, and pharmacists in primary and secondary care how to treat their patients safely and well. We also operate a busy patient helpline, so you will have the satisfaction of regularly advising our Trusts patients about their medicines. The teaching experience we offer is varied, and a vital part of the role. You will be tutoring band 6 pharmacists on how to solve clinical problems, and assessing and supporting band 7 clinical pharmacists to achieve ward-based competence. We are looking for a pharmacist with an understanding of how medicines are used in practice, the problems they can cause and how to overcome them. You need to be able to teach these skills and knowledge to others. That doesnt mean you have to know everything, but we are looking for relevant experience and a commitment to what we are doing. We will train you to help fill any gaps. A background in medicines information and clinical pharmacy is essential. With all the support and encouragement you would expect from a leading teaching Trust, this post offers you a challenging but valuable career move.
