We are offering you intellectually rewarding responsibilities and valuable career experience as part of the Medicines Advice team. Youll provide a very clinically-focused service, and advise doctors, nurses, and pharmacists in primary and secondary care how to treat their patients safely and well. We also operate a busy patient helpline, so you will have the satisfaction of regularly advising our Trusts patients about their medicines. Feedback from our enquirers shows that our clinical advice is extremely valued and improves patient care. We also counsel and advise patients after theyve left our hospital via the Trusts medicines helpline. This is a busy and professionally satisfying role that gives you patient contact throughout the day, even when you arent on your wards. Youll be advising on (and therefore learning about) a complete range of clinical specialities, and the clinical skills youll be honing are completely transferable to other areas of pharmacy. Whilst clinical problem solving is hugely important, we will equip you with many more skills to become a well-rounded and confident pharmacist. If youre a band 6 pharmacist who is looking for the next challenge, or a band 7 pharmacist who wants to take their clinical skills to the next level, then this is the role for you.
