Salary: Up to £25,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We are looking for a Healthcare worker preferably with experience in Accident and Emergency or GP surgery, to join the team at the Private Walk in Centre. You must hold a Care Certificate. ECG and phlebotomy proficient.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
* Deliver person-centred care including assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, toileting, and emotional support.
* Carry out basic clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, blood glucose levels, and patient observations (following training and competency).
* Support patients with dignity, respect, and compassion, ensuring their needs are met safely and sensitively.
* Assist with clinical procedures and the preparation of equipment and materials.
* Report any changes in a patient’s condition to the nursing team promptly.
* Contribute to safe patient transfers, discharge preparation, and documentation.
* Follow infection prevention, health and safety, and manual handling protocols at all times.
* Support effective communication within the team and with patients and families.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting.
* Ability to carry out delegated clinical tasks safely and confidently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to support and supervise junior staff members.
* Previous experience in a senior or supervisory HCA role desirable.
