The Opportunity
As a Finance Intern in Witney, you will work in a modern, highly automated state of the art facility with an employee base of approximately 1000 people, and you’ll be involved in the day-to-day functioning of the Finance department. This will include Business Partnering a wide range of Operations and R&D leadership teams, as well as owning the Site’s Headcount tracking, analysis and reconciliation (including presenting and reviewing results to the senior leadership team). You’ll also liaise with the US and multiple teams across the site working on Budgeting and Forecasting with the aim being to present results and obtain commentary for variances from Project Managers.
You may also experience times when you’re supporting the wider Finance team on the timely completion of month end including preparing and sending relevant month end reports to various parties across the business as well as ownership of the intercompany billing process. At the end of the internship, you will have gained hands on experience relating to the annual Overhead Standard Cost setting process and be able to analyse, interpret and concisely present large volumes of financial data to both Finance and non-Finance leaders and stakeholders.

What are we looking for?
As a minimum, you should be on track for a 2:1 in your first two years of a finance related degree course. The ideal candidate will be passionate about finance with the intention to pursue a career in finance and complete a professional accountancy qualification after university (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA). You will need to have good oral and written communication skills to be able to prepare reports, interpret results, and provide effective summaries. You must be organised and flexible in your approach to work, with good attention to detail, being able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
