Job Description
* Establish and manage procurement governance frameworks
* Support the Category Managers with Audit & Governance responsibilities and future audits
* Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulations
* Develop and execute procurement strategies
* Oversee tendering and contract management processes
* Train and guide procurement staff on governance processes
* Collaborate with other departments to improve procurement policies
* Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement in procurement practices
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Governance Manager should have:
* Ideally be CIPS Level 4 or higher
* Experience in the public sector, preferably within the NHS
* Excellent understanding of procurement regulations and standards including the new Procurement Act
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
