This is an exciting opportunity to join Angus Heath and Social Care Partnerships Adults with Disabilities Service. You will be part of an integrated team of social workers and health professionals. Your duties will include providing a comprehensive person-centred assessments people with learning/physical disabilities, to promote their independence, involve them in their local community and achieve their full potential. You will also conduct carers assessments. You will complete and maintain appropriate records. You will manage a caseload, carrying continuous responsibility for the assessment and evaluation of the provision of care and will participate in the continuing development of the service.
These posts require an ability to promote and encourage a collaborative working approach.
At times our Social Workers will be required to support people within a legal framework; this includes working with the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act, Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act and the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act. This statutory work allows Social Workers to work in more depth with supported people, build meaningful relationship and support them to make safer choices with positive results.

These jobs are temporary for up to 12 months from date of appointment.
