You will join the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition as one of a team of administrative staff who provide essential support to students, teaching staff, our volunteers (Patient Partners) to ensure our healthcare and medical science degree programmes are well organised and run efficiently. You will be based in the Clinical Skills Centre (CSC) and work between the Suttie Centre & Polwarth Building on the Foresterhill site.
Equipped with the latest technology and clinical simulation modalities, the CSC provides a safe environment for staff and students to experience and practice their skills both in the centre itself but also in satellite locations. The Centre also hosts a wide variety of postgraduate educational and national events. The CSC is also home to our patient partner programme team who train and support around 200 volunteers who attend the facility to help with the clinical skills teaching.
The post will require excellent teamworking, organisational and interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will develop strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including the University teaching team, other administrative staff in the Institute, the patient partner team and with colleagues in NHS Grampian.
This is a part-time position. The role is public facing and office based; we are looking for someone who can work 21.1 hrs a week
6.5 Hours a week – Wednesday with the Patient Partner Programme team
14.6 Hours a week over 2 days – with the Post Graduate Courses team, this day can be flexible depending on department activity.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale, 57.81% of £26,642 - £30,505 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
