To support our expanding operations, we are looking to strengthen our finance team based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. Role Description As an Assistant in our Accounts team, you will collaborate with the Financial Controller and the wider finance department to ensure precise and timely recording of financial activities. Your primary responsibility will be bookkeeping, ensuring that financial records are regularly updated and fully balanced across the various brands within our portfolio. We place high importance on providing up-to-date, reliable data to inform our business decisions. You will be an integral part of the team, helping to provide key financial insights that will empower our leadership teams to make strategic, data-driven decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain daily bookkeeping activities and perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy and eliminate any transaction backlog. Manage the Purchase Ledger by accurately coding and posting purchase invoices, processing payments, and maintaining supplier accounts. Oversee the Sales Ledger, ensuring accurate coding and posting of sales invoices, processing incoming payments, and managing customer accounts. Handle banking transactions by accurately coding, posting, and reconciling with the accounting system, ensuring clear communication of transaction details. Assist with payroll preparation and integrate payroll data into the financial and banking systems. Review, enhance, and automate financial processes and controls to drive operational efficiencies. Contribute to the preparation of financial data such as cash flow reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Assist with financial performance analysis and provide actionable recommendations. Adhere to and promote the companys values and standards. Respond promptly to internal requests, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills. Perform additional administrative duties as required by the organization. Ideal Candidate: At least 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role. Proficient in IT and experienced in working with large volumes of data. Familiarity with e-commerce, finance, or payroll software tools. Experience in a Retail, Marketplace, or Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) eCommerce business is advantageous, but not required. Experience in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment is a plus, but not essential. Holds or is working towards an accounting qualification, preferred but not mandatory.
