Main duties:
* Quoting for and supervising all relevant bookings
* Creating jobs in the company Freight Management System
* Invoicing for the department in a timely manner
* Liaising with the accounts department regarding any sales/cost queries
* Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in identifying and developing new accounts/business lanes
* Ensuring that client satisfaction is met and, if possible, exceeded
* Working with the Line Manager & Directors to create and achieve departmental and personal budgets
* Assisting in managing key Airfreight & Sea Freight Accounts and being involved in periodic meetings with clients
* Working within and in accordance with rules governing a known agent and their relevant status
* Ensuring clients' needs and expectations are met and, where possible, exceeded in a timely and cost-effective manner
Skills required:
* Extensive general knowledge of all aspects of shipping
* FCL & LCL Ocean Import Freight, including end-to-end documentation
* A&O Export knowledge is desirable
* Communication with an extensive network of supplier contacts, both domestic and overseas, within the Air, Sea, and Road Cargo industry, which will allow for effective and efficient purchase of services
