About the role:
The Global Sales Administration Team runs the back-office for our Institutional Sales Team serving customers in the Strategic, Core and Specialty segments. We have an exciting opportunity to offer for a Sales Coordinator based in the United Kingdom working with teammates based in Europe and North America. The role is ideal for someone who wants to work in an international and diverse team, operating at the intersection of sales and our internal operational and processing teams. We are looking for a candidate with a hands-on attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to self-organize and to collaborate with Account Managers and customers in various countries.
The Sales Coordinator will provide administrative support to Sales and Account Managers across the Europe and EMEA region. The role will be within the Global Sales Administration Team, reporting to the Manager Sales Administration-Americas & Europe.
How you will make an impact:
* Working in an international, diverse team with colleagues from different countries.
* Future oriented sales environment in the area of cloud-based content and solutions.
* Working with digital products for scientific and research customers in a b-t-b environment.
* Collaborating with Sales and Account Managers selling to institutional customers and key accounts.
* Processing orders for new and renewal business for e-journals, digital books, reference works and databases.
* Supporting the Sales Team with license agreements using a Contract-Lifecycle-Management system (CLM).
* Compiling standard and ad hoc business reports as needed.
* Responding to customer enquiries on pricing, contract options, invoicing, access issues; liaising with the Sales Support department to ensure customer access issues are resolved quickly.
* Compiling prospective customer contacts and ensuring the Customer-Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce) is maintained and updated.
* Communicating with Sales and Account Managers, Sales Support colleagues, Sales Admin Team Manager and other internal colleagues as required.
What we are looking for:
* Must have excellent written and oral English communications skills. Proficiency in another European or Scandinavian language is a plus.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with periods of high workload due to sales cycles with peak times.
* Previous experience within a sales administration role would be advantageous but not essential.
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritize is a key requirement.
* Experience working with Salesforce.com would be an advantage.
* Experience with Excel.
* Ability to work with cross functional teams.
