An exciting opportunity has become available within the Urgent Care and Emergency Division for a Band 5 Registered Nurse.
The job is based in the Acute Assessment Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit which provides a huge wealth of opportunity to learn new skills. The areas are fast-paced and see a huge variety of patients with different conditions.
We are passionate supporters of our nursing team and are looking for a motivated Band 5 Nurse to join us. We support individuals developing their career and encourage our nurses to be fully rounded with a large range of skills which can be demonstrated in a manner that reflects the Trust's values and standards.
You will have an opportunity to work in both areas, supported by the Matron and Divisional Head of Nursing.
Please note that we can only consider applications from individuals with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as we are currently unable to support OSCE.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 5 working in both the Acute Assessment Unit and Ambulatory Care, you will be responsible for the assessment and care of acutely ill patients at the beginning of their journey in the hospital.
The role also involves arranging transfer of patients to the appropriate wards, facilitating discharges, and working alongside the multi-disciplinary team.
In Ambulatory Care, you will attend to patients coming in as both emergency day cases for assessment and treatment as well as planned cases for ongoing treatments and review.
