They have a requirement for a Field Service Engineer based in the Birmingham area to build lasting trust with key customers by fostering strong relationships, adapting to their evolving needs, and providing innovative solutions in a dynamic business landscape. The principal function of the role is to provide printer technical services to the largest customers. Duties & Responsibilities: Installation, repair and maintenance of the Company's range of products, as well as third party equipment (Thermal Transfer and Laser Printer / Labelling Printers) and carry out operator training as required. Primarily to cover the Key Customer site in the Brimingham area but will need to occasionally cover other customer sites both in the UK and overseas. Re-order and management of spare parts inventory on-site. Ensure customers' requirements are fully met and provide user assistance in best practices. Respond to breakdown calls within any specified SLA. Maintain printers and ancillary equipment and other customer sites to ensure availability for production requirements. Maintain sufficient stocks of spare parts and wear parts on site, keeping in mind at all times the financial impact of such on the Company. Sell service-related products wherever appropriate in line with the Company policy. Record all service activity on Oracle. Update all service calls via the designated website/tools. Ensure that all necessary service documentation, software and firmware, spare parts car stock are maintained in accordance with specified instructions. Keep personally up to date with new developments in the companys product range. Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Service Manager or Team Supervisor, subject to having the required competence and training. Fully trained and competent on products. Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office. Represent the company on-site and maintain high standards of excellence. Carry out all necessary administrative tasks to specified Company standards. To work with Sales Representative to identify new sales opportunities. To act in a courteous and professional manner when dealing with customers directly.Required Qualifications: Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience. Proven experience in field service or a related technical role. Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally to European locations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's licence. Experience with Thermal Transfer and Laser Printer / Labelling / RFID technology. Knowledge of company products and solutions
