Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Pharmacy Education and Training 50%
Clinical pharmacy duties (50%) ensuring core clinical pharmacy activities are undertaken within the clinical pharmacy medicine team.
Leadership, management and directorate/service support roles:
* To line manage and support more junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the specialty.
* To take full part in the 7 day shifted rota and bank holidays duties.
* The post holder may be required to work at one or both campuses.

Training and Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
* GPhC Registered
* Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent post graduate qualification
Desirable Criteria:
* Independent Prescribing Qualification
Experience
Essential Criteria:
* Wide previous experience (post registration) of hospital pharmacy
* Experience of delivering Education and Training processes within a hospital setting
* Experience of day to day supervision of trainee pharmacists/technicians
Desirable Criteria:
* Evidence of project work/audit/research
Communication & Relationship Skills
Essential Criteria:
* Good interpersonal presentation/negotiation skills - written and verbal
* Good communication and interaction with MDT and own profession
Desirable Criteria:
* Teaching skills including supportive feedback
Analytical & Judgement Skills
Essential Criteria:
* Critical evaluation skills to support drug therapy decisions and patient information.
* Able to assess and minimise risk in medicines management processes
