Senior Support Worker – Heatherwood Court

Role Responsibilities
* Provide support in a way that is respectful, promotes dignity and independence
* Provide support in any location appropriate to meet the needs of the people we support
* Communicate with the people you support using appropriate communication methods
* Assist with individuals’ care, including personal care
* Participate in the development and implementation of support plans
* Assist the people we support with household activities
* Order, receive, store, and administer medication to the people you support
* Participate, plan, and run the day-to-day events of the service
* Record and complete any appropriate documentation
Role Requirements
* Excellent communication skills, as well as excellent listening skills, as you will be supporting people who use various methods of communication
* Knowledge/experience/desire to support individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour is essential
* Good basic comprehension of English language including basic literacy and numerical skills i.e., GCSE level or equivalent
* Ongoing commitment to own personal development and training
* Undertake delegated supervisory management responsibilities and provide leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best care practice and optimal outcomes for clients
* Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 or substantial experience of working in a similar environment
