What do they look for in a Scrum Master? They are looking for a passionate Agile practitioner and Scrum Master to join a product team made up of a number of scrum teams, consisting of product owners, developers, designers, and scrum masters. Working in adherence to agile values and principles, they use the Scrum framework to deliver value and drive continuous improvement. Some key responsibilities include: Guiding the scrum team in using scrum and agile practices and team in focusing on outcomes and value for the customer Removing impediments to the scrum team’s progress, allowing the team to focus on delivering their sprint goal Coaching and empowering teams to be self-managing and find a sustainable pace Building a shared understanding between developers and product owners around goals, scope and product domain Supporting the product owners in effective management of the product backlog and refinement of backlog items Supporting the product owners by facilitating and finding techniques for product planning Facilitating collaboration across the organisation and stakeholders Enabling creative problem solving and innovation Creating an environment which builds trust and transparency, and enables conflicts to be handled in a healthy way Working with other scrum masters to improve cross-team collaboration Leading, training and coaching the organisation in scrum implementation and agile practices. You should be able to demonstrate your experience and attitude towards some of the following: Keen to employ a coach/facilitator style to support the team, rather than project manage See yourself as a servant-leader for the team and wider organisation.
