To teach students the skills, methods and techniques required in production projects through acting as a Production Manager. This will include supervision, teaching, assessment, classroom and production administration associated with the delivery of undergraduate modules in the relevant School.
About the Role
In this role, you will serve as a Production Manager on projects, supporting students in developing essential skills and techniques. You will supervise and teach within an established program, including lectures, practicals, seminars, and workshops, while supporting undergraduate students both in groups and individually, including online. Responsibilities include:
1. Marking assessments
2. Participating in assessment meetings
3. Managing administrative tasks like monitoring attendance and providing feedback
4. Contributing to syllabus planning
5. Maintaining subject expertise
6. Ensuring workplace health and safety
7. Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the University
About You
Candidates should have a relevant undergraduate degree, industry experience in production management, and a strong grasp of production and event management. Desirable qualifications include a higher degree, university-level teaching experience, and an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Essential skills are in-depth production knowledge, excellent communication, organizational, and IT skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Awareness of higher education issues and experience with virtual learning environments are a plus. A commitment to student-centred teaching and a flexible, positive approach to change are required.
