As a registered Mental Health Nurse, on Part 3 of the NMC Register, you will be an integral member of the Community Mental Health Team working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse providing assessment, care, support and treatment interventions to patients and carers with dementia of any age and people with functional mental health problems over 65 years of age living in Morayshire.
As a mental health nurse you will join a service that is continually developing to meet the needs of our client group. You will have experience of team working, problem solving, flexibility, continuing professional development and change management. You will have day to day responsibility of managing your workload and a commitment to partnership working with a range of stakeholders.
You will be educated to degree level or have a relevant post graduate qualification and experience relevant to job purpose. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a well-developed knowledge of care of older people with mental health problems and appropriate interventions coupled with sound organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative are essential for this post.
