What You’ll Do:
As a Quality Control Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing excellence by driving remedial and improvement activities with a focus on achieving zero defects in quality and delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Process Assessment: Evaluate production processes and systems for compliance, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to technical and quality standards.
* Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone Analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Documentation Review: Analyse and update process specifications, engineering drawings, build plans, and test procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
* Auditing & Compliance: Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
* Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs to improve operator knowledge of quality systems, standards, and best practices.
* Data Analysis: Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods and other quality metrics to monitor and improve manufacturing performance.
* Non-Conformance Management: Manage and report non-conformance issues, ensuring appropriate resolutions and tracking actions to closure.
What You’ll Bring:
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality engineering tools and techniques, such as FMEA, SPC, and control plans.
* Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar frameworks.
* Problem Solving: A structured approach to problem-solving with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensuring quality across all aspects of production.
* Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
