We are seeking a highly organised Finance Assistant to support our expanding Finance team.
In this role, you’ll be based in our Nottingham office but will provide essential support across all our offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking company with plenty of room to develop your skills and progress your career.
The Role
1. Assist in processing invoices, expenses, and payments for both permanent and contract recruitment practices.
2. Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and company accounts, posting cash payments and receipts into the financial system.
3. Maintain financial records and assist in preparing reports for senior management.
4. Support in credit control duties, including chasing outstanding invoices and managing debtor accounts.
5. Support in purchase ledger maintenance, ensuring timely processing of supplier invoices and remittance of payments.
6. Assist in VAT returns, tax calculations, and other regulatory financial obligations.
7. Work closely with recruitment consultants across global offices to ensure correct billing and commission payments.
8. Support in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
9. Assist with financial audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
10. Handle general finance administration tasks such as data entry and document filing.
What We’re Looking For
1. Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new systems. Knowledge of Sage Intacct (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
3. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, candidates, and internal teams.
5. Relevant degree or AAT qualification or working towards ACCA/CIMA (desirable but not essential).
6. This is an office-based role but flexible working will be considered, and study support will be provided.
Working Hours
1. Monday to Thursday 9:00-17:30, and Friday 9:00-17:00
