Monday to Friday covering varied shifts between 8.00am and 6.00pm. Salary: £23,283 to £24,912 per annum (experience dependent).
Albyn Medical Practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated medical receptionist to join our busy team and help maintain the high standard of care given to our patients.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact at reception, so must have excellent communication skills with a confident, friendly, and courteous demeanor.
Applicants should have experience working in a fast-paced and busy environment, where a high level of attention to detail and accuracy is fundamental. Ideally, applicants should have experience working in a similar medical environment, but full training will be provided. Basic IT skills are essential, including the use of Microsoft Office.
The successful candidate will be expected to learn and use specific clinical software, i.e. EMIS and DOCMAN. The duties of the role include, but are not limited to: general medical reception work, processing prescription requests, efficiently dealing with patient enquiries and appointment requests, registering new patients, accurately inputting and maintaining medical records, and filing incoming documents.
Applicants should be flexible with their working hours, as additional hours may be required at any time to cover leave or sickness absence. We are looking for full-time candidates, which is 37 hours per week, equating to 4 full days and 1 half day per week.
