ICS Risk & Control Operations is looking for an Analyst – Risk Management to join the Business Conduct Team. The Business Conduct Programme provides clear standards and governance for all customer-facing interactions to ensure that ICS operates with the highest conduct standards, as individuals and as a team. The Analyst will report to the Business Conduct Manager and will focus on ensuring risk management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. The role will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.
The Analyst – ICS Risk & Control Operations will:
* Assist in day-to-day activities to support compliance with enterprise policies and programs pertaining to specific risk types (American Express Management Policy (AEMP) - 88 Conduct Risk Management Policy)
* Assist in creating standardized templates for policies and procedures and gaining required approvals from international stakeholders
* Assist in advising the BU on creating controls to meet AEMP-88 requirements
* Assist in specific activities/tasks required to support more senior team members in consultation on the design and implementation of controls tailored to conduct risk
* Assist in governing a Change Forum for the Business Conduct teams to facilitate change management, prioritization and decision-making
* Assist in documenting subject matter expertise that is used to advise BUs
* Assist in administrative activities to compile topical risk information, including emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory updates relevant to business conduct
* Assist in specific activities/tasks required to gather topical risk strategies and procedures to align with changes in the business environment and regulatory landscape
Required Qualifications:
* Proven years of experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understanding critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
* Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Experience in process governance, establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in at least one of the following:
o Complying with enterprise policies and programs pertaining to specific risk types and supporting with design/enhancement of procedures/standards by providing topic-specific insight
o Assisting in day-to-day activities to support compliance with enterprise policies and programs pertaining to specific risk types and supporting with design/enhancement of procedures/standards by providing topic-specific insight
o Assisting in specific activities/tasks required to support advising on decentralized risk types into broader operational risk policies and programs
