The position would support ongoing projects such as risk assessments, sustainability initiatives, and safety training while gaining exposure to industry standards and best practices. They assist with audits, and data analysis, helping to improve reporting, while gaining exposure to workplace safety procedures. Job Context: Lucy Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety and Sustainability Intern to join our team at our Head Office based in Oxford. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields of health, safety, and sustainability within multiple industries including real estate and manufacturing. The goal is to introduce interns to workplace safety protocols, environmental compliance, and sustainability efforts within the company. Job Dimensions: This role will support the Health Safety and Sustainability department in delivering the Group’s wider sustainability aspirations by collating, analysing, and reporting data and closely working with the Group’s Sustainability Analyst in and sustainability champions. Key Accountabilities: Document Updating: Assist in the review and updating of health & safety policies and procedures. Assist in the review and updating Task Risk Assessments Ensure all documentation is current, accurately maintained, and easily accessible. Support the preparation of reports and presentations related to health, safety, and sustainability.Data Entry: Collect, verify, and enter data related to sustainability and upload onto our carbon accounting software. Support the analysis of data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Uploading data to EcoOnline (Sypol) to generate COSHH assessmentSustainability Dashboard Support: Assist in the design and development of a sustainability dashboard to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Key project: Help develop a Sustainability shared data model.General Support: Participate in emissions data audits and inspections. Support sustainability initiatives and campaigns (falling under both our people and planet pillar)within the company. Assist with administrative tasks and projects as needed. Assist in the design of Safety Campaigns Checking COSHH items, obtaining Safety Data Sheets.Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: Essential: Currently pursuing a degree in any field. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable: Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
