Job Description
* Conduct routine inspections of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting, to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
* Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fire protection equipment as needed to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
* Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency situations, assisting with evacuations and implementing fire safety procedures as required.
* Conduct fire safety training sessions for hotel staff, educating them on proper procedures for fire prevention, evacuation, and emergency response.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and training sessions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as necessary for specialized inspections, repairs, or installations.
* Stay informed about updates to fire safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure that the hotel remains in compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in fire protection or a related field preferred.
* Prior experience working with fire protection systems and equipment, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
* Strong understanding of fire safety principles, codes, and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire protection systems.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey fire safety information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
