Our client is a design, fit out and refurbishment specialist who requires a Project Manager with shopfitting and interiors refurbishment experience on a permanent basis.
Founded in 2007, they are based in Coventry in new 2500 sqft offices, excellently located for all major motorways, only a short distance from Junction 3 of the M6/M69.
Working for end user direct clients nationwide on a range of projects including Commercial, Office, Retail, Automotive, and Leisure, this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join a rapidly expanding organisation.
Having an in-house design team, many of their projects are a complete concept to completion process working with the clients/owners directly to gain all necessary approvals and install the project.
Projects Manager
Salary: £60-65k Depending on Experience
Car Allowance: £5k
Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for the day-to-day running of all varieties of contracts with values ranging from £10k to £500k.
2. Liaison and permit approval process with high street and shopping centres.
3. Client liaison and financial management of projects through to completion and final account.
4. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors pre-contract and during projects.
5. Responsible for material procurement and clients' own nominated trades.
6. Liaising with our in-house Designer and assistant for site set up files, risk assessments, and H&S files, including completion of O&M files.
Key Skills Required:
1. Ensure the delivery of the project within the budget and time scales specified.
2. Estimating contracts and tendering.
3. Ability to work independently and in a small team.
4. Focus on quality, customer service, and delivery in a live environment.
5. Guaranteeing the profitability of the contract, including pricing and delivering of extra works.
6. Excellent client liaison skills.
7. Strong business acumen, good financial management, and ability to introduce savings on costed projects.
8. Health & Safety control, both internally and externally.
9. Close and effective management of both directly employed staff and subcontract labour to ensure that commercial control is retained.
10. Development and overseeing of monitoring systems to track the success of projects, final accounts, and contract variations.
