Community Dental Services are a Consultant-led service:
1. Skill-mixed teams working together
2. Variety of patients and settings to work within
3. Pathways/links to acute hospital services across the County
4. Participation in sedation and general anaesthetics (with appropriate experience and training)
5. Excellent opportunities for career progression within this service and across the wider NHS.
6. Taking responsibility for the decontamination of instruments
7. Ensuring that all relevant materials and supplies are in place
8. Looking after patient records – including making notes when the dentist is examining a patient
9. Working closely with the dentist, responding quickly to requests and generally keeping the surgery ready for use
