The Company
GMA are working with a leading (UK based) rotating equipment business that offers a comprehensive range of industrial turbomachinery, designed for various applications.
Key industries they operate in include Waste-to-Energy, Industrial Combined Heat and Power (CHP, Power Generation, MOD amongst others.
Operating from a dedicated service facility in the UK they can provide high-integrity custom solutions for the maintenance and repair of turbomachinery from any manufacturer.
The Role
As the Engineering Manager you will lead a dedicated engineering team that will provide essential technical support ensuring the delivery of high-quality aftermarket solutions for turbomachinery and associated equipment.
In this role, you will look to drive continuous improvement across the entire value stream, from initial sales engagement through project execution and long-term aftermarket sustainability.
Your expertise in coaching, developing, and mentoring engineering team members will foster an environment of continuous learning and adherence to best engineering standards and practices.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with technical engineering leaders across the business, to align strategies and achieve collective success.
The Candidate

Experience of Managing, Mentoring and Leading people in the work environment, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues towards achieving team goals.
Advanced level of knowledge on how pumps or turbomachinery, and its associated equipment, operates.
Good knowledge of engineering fundamentals involved in the design, operation, and maintenance of turbomachinery.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail orientated, but with the efficiency to achieve timely results.
Mechanical engineering-based qualification to degree level, or equivalent work-based experience.
Previous experience to include familiarity with pumps or turbomachinery service work, particularly installation & commissioning and fault finding and /or similar exposure within a service workshop environment.
